So I have been winning about not being able to go home for a while now and finally after more than 2 years I shall be visiting India. I am so excited, I can’t tell you.  I am running out of time as I leave end of the week and have tons to do. So unless any of you are going to come and personally help me sit on my suitcases to close them shut, I must go. Enjoy the outfit!!

FYI, the guy above, Brian, is the same guy from this earlier post of mine. Will tell you his story some other time

MFEO: Street Fashion

Images by Prutha Raithatha

Guy’s outfit:
Cape/ Pants: YSL; Bag: Guid; Shoes: August; Sweater: Jill Salender; Glasses: Attraction

Girl’s outfit:
Fur Vest: Flea Market; Purse: Channel; Shoes: Sigerson Morrison; Jeans: Stella McCartney; Sweater: From Korea

Don't you just love it when you see 2 people totally MFEO together? Its just too cute.

Ok to be honest, seldom do I see a couple where I find the guy’s outfit to be more interesting than the girls. In this case I have to say, that even though I do think Jin’s [the girl] shoes and vest are stunning, I am still floored by Haeitae’s asymmetrical pants and cape and that BAG!!!

Haeitae is an artist and Jim is a student. So excited I found them!!

Goldie Horn: Personal Fashion

Dress: Vintage Variety; Shoes: Thrifted Christian Louboutins; Skull Ring: Alexander McQueen; Frog broach worn as ring: Random from NYC costume jewelry; Nose Ring: borrowed from a friend.

Getting a haircut is so much pressure I tell you. And finding your ideal hairdresser is as difficult as finding a perfect bra. It comes around rarely and after years and years of experimentation. In India I had found my soulmate hairdresser in Geeta from Agile Fingers. I always went to her and just sat down in her chair and let her do whatever she wanted on my hair. We experimented like crazy. Now being in NYC for the past 6 years, I think I have finally found my NYC hairdresser soul mate. Heather from Cutler salon in Soho.

Went to her for my cut last weekend and instead of just blow-drying my hair before I left she did this crazy hairdo for me. I love it. And what can I say about this fantastic sexy vintage dress. I am not kidding but I was behaving like a rock star the whole night while shooting in this dress. The dress and the hair just gave me that attitude. Love the nose ring too. I really wish someone would hire me to experiment for magazine styling. I have too many ideas in my head and this is not even the crust of it. Some day I say…some day J

Had a relaxed weekend and watched FIGHT CLUB last night. Has anyone seen it? Do you guys like that movie? I was going “ewhh” too many times during the movie to appreciate the concept. Am still not sure if I liked it or not?

Enjoy the Cuteness: Street Fashion

Images by Prutha Raithatha

I was sitting on the side walk taking random pictures one sunday when she came walking towards me to touch my camera.  I love babies. They are like tiny drunk people. Can't walk in a straight line. Hehe...

The last image is of her on her father's shoulders. She wanted to touch the red sign board above so her dad was trying to make her by going on his toes.

I MISS MY DADDY!!!!! :( I want to go to Bombay to see him today. I love you Pappa!!

Sunny Side Up: Personal Fashion

Images by Anjali Bhargava

Dress: Urban Outfitters; Shoes: Office; Bracelets: Random; Necklace: Assembled by self

Sometimes I feel like I am not spending any time creating things with my hands. As a kid I used to do a lot. Sketch, paint, make models, craft projects, etc. And now, putting on makeup in the morning is the only form of coloring I do. So Sad I say. In an attempt to experiment, I made this neckpiece out of some of my old pendant collection. I am going to attempt different forms of it so I’ll show them to you as and when I finish. But for now I am wearing this piece, as is, way too often.

Also I think I have very few black shoes. 2, maybe 3 pairs.  I love these purple metallic pumps of mine. Bought them about 3-4 years ago in London and I adore them and wear them sparsely so as to preserve them for my grand kids …lol…

Roger Waters concert was the bomb!!!!

Mother Mary in my hair: Street Fashion

Images By Shraddha Borawake

Dress: Suneri From Brazil; Shoes: Trash & Vaudeville

A long long time ago, while Shraddha and I were on our hunt for street fashion we decided to buy Margaritas in big [fountain Pepsi-type] Styrofoam cups from a bar in Brooklyn to go.  By the time we reached Manhattan [which was in the next 15 mins] we both had finished more than half our drinks which only meant that we were both drunk before we got off the train. In our very "happy" state we still had the stamina to go shoot some more street fashion in Manhattan. And our last target for that day was this beautiful girl Moki.

Her spunk was infectious. As soon as she walked past me, I look at Shraddha with my puppy face. And to my puppy face no one can say no, trust me. It’s a proven theory. I am cute like that ;-). Shraddha, [who was all packed up and ready to go home] said “ alright, go stop her. I’ll get my camera out”.

Look at that dress and those thundering heart shoes and that perfect little Mother Mary hair band. I <3 her entire outfit. Moki is a buyer for Trash & Vaudeville and isn’t she well worth the emotional blackmailing?
