Once Upon a Time: Street Fashion
Images by Shraddha Borawake
Almost 2 years ago when Shraddha was still shooting for DSM, on one of our street fashion excursions, we spotted this stylist with fantastic dark flare. Loved every piece on him especially his accessories. Was just going through my archives right now to purge and I spotted his pics and realized I had totally missed putting him up. I know there are a LOT of similar people that I have been unable to post, so will try to do so once in a while when I get a chance to revisit the 1 TB archive!

W.i.P Gallery Opening: Event
Images by Prutha Raithatha
Mid November I was invited to the opening of W.i.P art gallery. W.I.P is a fully functioning art gallery space, outfitted with unique and multifunctional elements that seamlessly blend the nightlife experience with a visually stunning art space. The entrance to the gallery [which was in the basement] was covered in psychedelic art/ graffiti and I have to say I quite enjoyed the experience, hence sharing some pictures from the day. The gallery itself has a cool DJ desk and a fully functional bar, so it's basically like a night club where your are surrounded by real art for sale around you.The pic with the artist working on his painting is him actually painting on a huge canvas at the gallery in public.
Met some interested people at the opening. Like Marco Santaniello [the guy with Panda Eyes and Jeremy Scott Panda shoes] who is an amazing Pop artist and Matthew Anderson [in the cool Black Glasses] who is a stylist for BCBG Max Azria and Fashion Contributor to 360 Magazine.
I had a fun time and I think I want to use this space for a shoot someday ;-)

Armor On: Street Fashion
This guy blew me away with his eye and finger armor. What a cool, fun and original way to accessorize I say. And his attire with the shirt, bow tie and jacket on harem pants were perfect constrained whimsy backdrop for these accessories. Innovate away people!! It makes me love you..... XO

Prutha Raithatha: The Fashionista
I have been thinking about doing this blog for quite some time but kept running into technical difficulties like I am not a photographer, I don’t even have a good camera, I am single, living on my own and hence do not have anyone to take pictures of me [if I wanted], I am super busy getting life in order [read lazy!!], etc. etc.. But I finally found my partner in crime, a fab photographer Shraddha. Over one lunch and random talks, we decided to collaborate, picked up her camera and started walking around the streets of NYC and clicking random strangers. That’s what I call “getting things done”.
Some things you should know about me: I am an architect by profession, but aspire to be in fashion, in any form. Designer, stylist, choreographer, personal shopper, stage designer, shoe shiner…I don’t care…but being in fashion is the ultimate goal. I love shoes like any "Sex and the city" watching girl. I obsess over things I-have-to-have way too much and the only way to stop the obsession is to actually go get what I want. I am not skinny at all and I love myself the way I am. I believe in dressing for the size I am and honestly I think I do a pretty good job.
Originally from Mumbai, I now live in NYC. I love colors, confidence and character. Life is beautiful and I live to have fun. This blog is an experiment in archiving my personal fashion taste over a period of time and seeing how it develops. It should be fun to see what I think of my harem pants in 2020…lol….
