NYC looks Good On Me: Personal Fashion

Dress: Zara; Sandals: Michael Kors; Belt: Target; Sunglasses: Fossil; Cuff: Desigual

This weekend was our first day of real summer in NYC. We went from 40 degrees to 90 degrees almost over night. Damn I’m happy that the million layers are gone but geez louise was it hot today!!
The good thing though was that everyone one was out on the streets. Just celebrating the onset of summer. The parks were full, the street ice cream vans had their first big day for the season and everyone was out showing some skin!!

I stuck to showing some skin and some patriotism to the city I love, New York. These sandals of mine are my favorite flats. I have worn them the whole of last summer and I am guessing this summer its going to be the same. I feel terrible about not buying 2 of the same pair when I had the chance. Can’t find them now L. Oh well, such is life.

At union square we walked into the Asian/Pacific American Community Festival where there was a performance by an amazing Bhangra Group called NYC Bhangra. S and I were totally grooving throughout their performance dancing in the audience. After the show, we took a few pics with them.  The summer is here, the festivities have begun!! I could get used to all this fun!!

  20. well, first off, these shots are amazing and you look very lovely. but my favorite would have to be the last one.

second, i'm curious how do you approach random people on the street to ask for their photos?

  21. @kim: thanks hunny. the second and the last shots r my fav too. see the lips on my dress in the second pic and my smile right above it? i love that... last pic ofcourse i pure fun!!

about how i approach ppl... i just do... if i see someone i like i just go them and say " excuse me, we r shooting pictures for a street fashion blog and we really like your outfit. would you mind if we took a few pictures of u and your look?" ..all this with a humungus smile and a lot of enthusiasm... thats all..sometimes u get turned down and most of the times u dont...but its always fun.. :)..

yes, at times i am a little intimidated to ask someone who i think is too scary looking..but then i just force myself to ask.. and most of the times these ppl turn out to be much more responsive than the others..its just an observation... hope it helps... :) ..did u pupets reach london yet?
